MONDAYS "ULTRA PINK"
& "PINKUITS"
Eilidh Zielinski
What I love about Pink Laydeez is not only the supportive members who are up for a laugh but the variety of classes Nicola offers. I attend 4 different classes per week and each one is so different. HIIT, Circuits, Boxing and Running are only a few of the classes on offer. Classes are delivered in a fun and inventive way so no session is the same which helps keep me wanting to come back week after week. I’ve been a pink Laydee for a few years now and couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Monday and Thursday evenings, I’d highly recommend!!!
THE "PROGRESSION"
The "Progression" is a running session for beginner to 10km runners. You can come along to the Progression 10 session which can last 45 to 90 minutes aimed at 5km to 10km runners. Or as someone who has never run before you can utilise the Progression 5 session to become 5km competent and then progress into 10km. We alternate our training and do a speed/sprints, interval, hill work training sessions every now and again too. There are opportunities to run further than the 5km and 10km distances this is known as "Progression Plus", these are seasonal normally before a race as they depend on the time of year and staffing.

I’ve been attending Pink Laydeez for a year and a half now. I do the ultra pink on a Monday and the progression 10 on Thursday. The Monday class is great in that it’s only 30 minutes, you can get it done and get back home for tea super quick! But, don’t be fooled by the time, you get out what you put in! A quick but energetic class working all over body and a change up of exercises every 4/6 weeks to keep it fresh and interesting! Not only do you sparkle by the end but there’s always good banter to be had at each class too!
Thursday is running night, and for me, where I felt I really became part of the Pink Laydeez family. The classes change location quarterly and each week there is a new route to try. I can now say I know my way around Midlothian! 🙂
You get to run, keep fit and have a real blether with the most amazing women. Everyone is so supportive and it’s a great way to make new friends.
I am running the EMF for the first time this year, something I honestly don’t think i would have done if it wasn’t for the support and encouragement of the other Laydeez and also Nic. She totally knows her stuff and will support you in all areas from a bit of banter on a run to make you go that extra mile to a sports massage when needed and also nutritional and physio advice too.
Pink Laydeez is what it is thanks to Nic and the amazing staff that she has. I can 100% recommend them and will guarantee you’ll have fun whilst forgetting you are also improving your fitness!

Joining pink laydeez has totally changed my thoughts when it comes to exercising, I always thought of exercise to be like a chore.......boring, sore, and hard work. Since joining pink laydeez iv realised how much fun exercising can be, especially exercising with the ladies from the group, I don't think iv ever been to a class where there has not been laughter. Although we all put our all into workouts we have fun doing it. Through the encouragement of the pink laydeez I have become fitter and happier. Pink laydeez has gave me confidence and made me realise that I can achieve my goals, before joining pink laydeez I was bad for not having confidence in myself and I always found myself saying "I can't do that" now I say "it might be hard, it might take some training, but I can and will do that" thank you pink laydeez for helping me become a happier more confident person.
SATURDAYS "pINkOUTz"

I joined Pinklaydeez 8 years ago with my friend Heather and her daughter and my daughter. I had always wanted to join a running group since I was in my 20s but never found the courage to actually find something. It took me until I was in my 50s to actually take the plunge. At first Pinklaydeez was mainly a Running Group but over the past years Nic the Leader has expanded into Keep Fit Classes incorporating Boxercise, HIT Classes, Kettle Bells and many more. I particularly love a Saturday Morning starting firstly with Running (Progression 5) and secondly an exercise class (Pinkouts). The Group caters for all ages with myself being one of the oldest - yikes!!! They hold great Social Events! I love being part of them and I would recommend joining Pinklaydeez. The photo of myself was me at my slimmest modelling my new running gear which my daughter bought me for me Xmas one year!
